Also well known is the traditional Cannstatter Volksfest from the End of September to the beginning of October. In 1818, at the request of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, an agricultural festival was celebrated for the first time on the Wasen. The Cannstatter Wasen is the second largest folk festival in Germany After the Oktoberfest and attracts more than four million visitors every year.
The Stuttgart Spring Festival takes place annually between mid-April and early May and is the counterpart to the Cannstatter Volksfest. It is smaller in terms of area than „der Wasen“ in autumn, but lasts about a week longer. Up to 240 businesses, including four marquees, numerous rides and booths, expect around one million visitors every year. It is considered the largest spring festival in Europe.
The Stuttgart Zoo, the Wilhelma, is the only zoological and botanical garden in Germany. More than a million visitors are drawn to the Wilhelma every year. Thanks to the unique combination of animal Park, botanical garden and historical Park, it is unique in the world. The flair of „1001 Nights“ also makes the zoo something special for lovers. The romantic-oriental Damascene Hall is often used by couples in love as a place for a wedding.

After Budapest, Stuttgart is the city in Europe with the largest mineral water deposits. More than 22 million liters of mineral water are pumped daily from 19 springs.
The city of Stuttgart alone has three mineral baths: the LEUZE mineral baths, the SoleBad Cannstatt and the Berg mineral baths. The admission price includes the bathing area with outdoor and indoor pools and a children’s area (Kinderland). The sauna area, which used to be included, is now extra.
The SoleBad Cannstatt advertises „healing power from the depths“. Here, as in the LEUZE, it is possible to swim in mineral water. The sauna area is significantly smaller than that in the LEUZE.
The third spa in the group is the traditional Berg mineral spa, which was taken over by the city of Stuttgart in early 2006. In order to meet the motto „tradition meets future“, the city has carried out extensive renovations over several years in order to offer the aging pool a perspective for the future.
